4 Ideas to use Pixel Background Stamp!

I am Varshitha here!!

Another farewell for this month. I am really stuck with words... We are bidding farewell to another DT who travelled with us from the beginning... Ujjwal, is a very experienced crafter, who explores various techniques and projects! She is so inspiring and she has done an amazing job in the journey as a Mudra Creative Team Member and Stamp Design coordinator!!!
All the very best gal!!
Hugs :)

Over to Ujjwal ...

This is Ujjwal and today is a bittersweet day for me as this is my last post on the Mudra blog as a design team member. I have had a great time being a part of this fantastic team. It was a great learning experience for me and I will carry it forward with me for life.

Today, I am sharing some of the ways to use the Pixels Background Stamp.

The first think of course is to make pixel art. This is so simple and so fun to do. You can google "Pixel Art" and you will find lots of fun ideas to try.

Then there's this fun abstract background to try. You can pick a combination of 2-4 colors and randomly color in the little squares. Make it as bright as you like or go pastel. I used the regular Faber-Castell sketch pens and let it look scribbly.

Heat emboss and watercolor for a subtle look. How cute is this pig from the "Pig Day" set!

And last but not the least, I don't know why but the Pixel background reminded me of cross-stitch mat and so I turned it into one. Loved cross-stitching this heart after a long long time.

I hope you like these ideas and explore this little stamp set to come up with more.

Don't forget to participate in our monthly challenge. This month's theme is Triple time stamping/stenciling.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
Love, Ujjwal

Floral, Graphic and Retro for you today

Hi there - it's Linda here today. I hope you've had a good week.
I've been having a lovely play with Mudra's May release goodies and my first card (with video) features the 'Simply Florals' stamp set - gorgeous!

I did some quick Copic colouring on these sweet flowers and my video below (or in HD on You Tube) will show you the process.

For my second card I got out the Decorative Pennants stamp set and went crazy for my colourful background -

1. Using the Misti Stamp Positioner I stamped the pennants in a range of colours across my card front. As you can see I changed the pennant and colour each time so it takes a while but is a lot of fun.
2. Stamp sentiment from Geometric Nature stamp set in black ink and cut into strip.
3. Add a strip of silver glittered cardstock to the base of the sentiment strip before adhering to the card front with a messy nest of silver thread stuck behind.
4. Clear Mudra sequins are the finishing touch.

My third card uses the Retro Curves Stencil with Gold Metallic Gilding Polish.

1. Lay the stencil on white card and apply Gold Gilding Paste over the top.
2. Remove, wash stencil and allow card front to dry.
3. Die cut stencilled piece and add to a piece of brown glittered cardstock before adhering to the card front.
4. Stamp thanks from stamp set of the same name in black ink and fussy cut.
5. Adhere with foam tape to card front and add white heat embossed additional sentiment underneath.
6. Finish with black rhinestones/enamel dots.

Here's a close up of the shiny gilding paste -

Participate in our June Challenge #10 - Triple Time Stamping

Wishing You..

Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and thank you so much for stopping by. Today I have two cards to share with you - one is for the current challenge Tripe Time Stamping/Stenciling and the other one is a floral card.

Kindly don't forget to play along with our current challenge where the theme is Triple Time Stamping/Stenciling.

I placed the Geo Angles Stencil and inked up the background with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. Then added splatters of water for the oxidized look.

This was my very first attempt at creating this Triple Time Stenciling and I know I didn't do that good! Basically what I did was I die-cut three panels with Sizzix Rectangular Framelit dies and cut another card stock a little bigger than the die-cut pieces and glued over on top of the other as shown above.

Our Creative Team member Indira did a wonderful tutorial on Triple Time Stamping, kindly watch HERE.

Here is another card made using Simply Floral and Wishing You stamp sets..

I took a white card stock and stamped the small images from Simply Floral using Archival Jet Black ink.

Then I water colored the images with Faber Castell Water Color Pencils

Then stamped the sentiment from Wishing You in Archival Jet Black Ink and added splatters of black paint and finished the card off with a few sequins.

And that's it! I like how this card turned out, simple yet pretty! :)
